Mississauga Basement Bathroom: Glass Shower and Storage
A bathroom changes how a finished basement can be used: everyday routines no longer have to send everyone upstairs. In this Mississauga project, a glass-enclosed shower, toilet and storage vanity sit together beside the basement living spaces. The room has a simple contrast: light surfaces around a dark vanity.

The shower stays visible across the room
The glass enclosure reveals the light, veined wall tile all the way across the shower. A small-format tile floor marks the change into the wet area. Rather than a solid partition cutting off that end of the room, the enclosure allows the full width to remain visible.
That is the useful detail to take from these photographs. When planning your own bathroom, compare where the shower ends, where the toilet sits and how the door opens. A fixture can fit on a drawing while leaving an awkward route between the other pieces.

Storage below, light above
The dark vanity anchors the lighter room. Drawers and doors provide storage beneath a white countertop, while a framed mirror and a row of lights sit above the basin. The shower's broad tiled surfaces and the smaller vanity area have different jobs, so the room does not depend on one finish everywhere.
For a comparable renovation, choose the vanity by its usable storage as well as its width. Decide where towels, toiletries and cleaning supplies will go, then check that the cabinet doors and drawers can open comfortably next to the other fixtures.

The connection to the rest of the basement matters
The view through the open bathroom door shows the finished living area beyond. The bathroom connects directly to the wider basement. Its doorway, floor transition and location affect how the lower level works day to day.
For your own project, establish the bathroom location before finalizing the adjoining room layout. Existing drains, available space and the ventilation route need a site review. The plumbing and waterproofing behind the tile matter as much as the visible finishes, so they should be specified for your room as part of that review.

Planning a new basement bathroom
$15,000–$25,000 CAD
This is the current 2026 GTA market range for adding a three-piece basement bathroom, before HST. It is a planning reference, not this project's recorded price or a Capable quote. Drain locations, concrete work, waterproofing, tile, glass and fixture choices affect the scope. Other basement rooms are separate work.
