A renovation connects decisions you will live with for years: where the kitchen opens, how a bathroom works, what needs attention behind a wall and which parts of the house can stay. Our role is to connect those decisions with construction, then make the agreed work, price and responsibilities clear. Bring the rooms you want to improve and the parts you want to keep.
What we build
Start with the work your house needs. When rooms or services connect, review them in one plan before they are priced.
Full-home renovation in Toronto: kitchens, bathrooms, floors, structure and systems, planned and priced as one project.
Basement renovation: living space, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens below grade, within the agreed finishing scope.
Basement underpinning: structural work to lower the floor, planned alongside the finished room.
Legal basement apartment: a separate unit planned around the layout, services, required approvals and inspections.
Home additions and second storeys: more space, planned together with the rooms it connects to.
Bathroom renovation: powder rooms, full bathrooms and ensuites, with the layout and affected services reviewed together.
Kitchen renovation: layouts, cabinetry and open-concept main floors, with structural and service changes identified in the scope.
See the work behind the company
Use the recorded scope to choose which work to inspect. A completed room shows its visible finish; a construction photograph shows the stage recorded.
Toronto · full-home renovation
Kitchen, bathrooms, entrance, terrace and covered outdoor living area.
Vaughan · bathroom renovation
Glass shower, tub and vanity layouts, with powder-room and laundry details.
Scarborough · basement construction
Exposed ceiling services, wall membrane and temporary timber stair during construction.
What you get in writing
An itemized scope and a price you can compare
We beat any written quote by 5% on the same scope. Compare the rooms, materials, allowances and exclusions before comparing totals.
A free $1,000 upgrade on signed projects over $40,000: choose pot lights, a heated bathroom floor, upgraded tile or a closet build-out. The offer has no expiry date.
Design and condition checks before the build
Free 3D design and permit drawings before you sign. Moisture and structure checked before we quote.
We identify what needs further investigation before the affected work is finalized; a design preview does not establish the condition behind every existing surface.
One responsible team and a written schedule
One contract, one schedule, one person to call. Capable coordinates design, permits and construction, including underpinning when it is part of your agreed renovation scope.
Your finish date is in the contract. Every Friday, you receive a written progress report with photos.
Four project starts a month, with direct access to Yan, the owner.
Payments tied to finished stages
No big deposit. Milestone payments are tied to finished stages, with final payment after your walkthrough.
Review the payment schedule alongside the agreed scope before signing.
Lifetime workmanship warranty
In writing and transferable. Read the coverage and claim conditions with your agreement. Electrical issues have two-year coverage.
Notice: To file a warranty claim, a $350 deposit is required. If the issue is covered by our warranty, this amount will be refunded to you. View warranty coverage and claims.
Current insurance and WSIB documents
Insurance and WSIB — request the current certificates; Capable shows $5M+ liability and WSIB on the first visit.

Questions before you decide
See the related guides below for specialist detail. The answers here cover the decisions that shape this project.
What should I bring to the first conversation?
Bring photos, your city, the rooms involved, the changes you want, timing and a budget range you are comfortable discussing. Include drawings, permits or another quote if you have them. If you have no plans yet, start with what is not working in the house. We use that information to identify the scope, what can be decided now and what needs a closer look.
How do design, permits and construction fit together?
Capable coordinates the connected work under one contract, schedule and project lead. Free 3D design and permit drawings before you sign help you review the proposed rooms alongside the scope and price. Confirm permit submissions, professional reviews and construction responsibilities in the agreement. A design preview does not settle every structural or concealed condition; record those separately before the affected work is finalized.
How do I compare a Capable quote with another proposal?
Compare the same rooms, materials, included work, allowances and exclusions before comparing totals. Our commitment to beat a written quote by 5% applies to the same scope. A lower allowance or omitted work can change the apparent difference. Bring the other proposal so the included work can be reviewed alongside the itemized quote, payment schedule and written responsibilities.
Who keeps me informed while the work is underway?
One project lead coordinates design, the construction schedule and decisions. Your finish date is in the contract, and every Friday you receive a written progress report with photos. You also have direct access to Yan. Review how changes are approved and how they affect scope, price and dates; keeping these together gives the project one working reference.
What are the payments, warranty and upgrade conditions?
Milestone payments are tied to finished stages, with final payment after your walkthrough. The lifetime workmanship warranty is written and transferable; electrical issues have two-year coverage. A $350 warranty-claim deposit is refunded if the issue is covered. Signed projects over $40,000 qualify for a free $1,000 upgrade: pot lights, heated bathroom floor, upgraded tile or a closet build-out. The offer has no expiry date. Read all conditions with your agreement.
Can I see relevant work and check the company documents?
Yes. Review the completed-project links, homeowner reviews and video accounts below. Ask for references and work comparable to your own scope, and request current insurance and WSIB certificates. A photograph shows the recorded room or construction stage; ask separately about the work behind it. Ontario’s renovation guidance can help you prepare questions before signing.
Can we visit the showroom or discuss several rooms together?
The Woodbridge showroom is available by appointment. Tell us the project type when booking so the conversation starts with the rooms and decisions involved. If a kitchen, bathroom, structure or adjoining space is part of the same build, review the connections together. The aim is to understand the complete scope, including what you plan to retain, before committing to the construction.
